The Performance

A while back I told you guys about a performance by the dance company called, "Charisma" that I photographed. Well, we finally narrowed those images down so I just now finished editing them for their new site, so I've got some to share! I tell you, this was by FAR the hardest shooting experience I've ever had! I know I mentioned that before, but I can't stress it enough! It's hard enough to photograph dancers but when we're talking stage lighting that's going in and out depending on where they are on the stage, it's a whole new ball game! So there I was, sitting in the audience constantly switching settings on my camera as the dancers were moving into the light and out of the light. And all of this was done IN THE DARK! Note to self...next time I shoot something like this, I need to bring a little flash light of some sort. Thank goodness I know my camera like the back of my hand.;-)

So here's a little taste of what their performance is like...

I'm back!

My trip to Chicago was SOOO much fun! I truly had a blast meeting my friend for the first time AND photographing her beautiful family. I am just now editing those so I will share in a few days. In the meantime I'll leave you with a few of my time together with Carter recently. She and I had so much fun together! She truly is a riot...you'll see what I mean soon enough.;-) And yeah, JUST in case you were wondering, she's two.

And here's one that mom is gonna shoot me for showing, but I couldn't help myself...it cracks me up every time. And she was totally kidding here...just trying to make me laugh....and it worked.;-)
Sooooo many images but I just couldn't decide what to share. She's beautiful, cute and charismatic. And I think she just might know it.

Two in Two.

Two posts in two days that is. I have so much recent stuff to share that I figured I had better get started! I'm having computer difficulties and will have to send it in to get looked at. So...I will be a bit behind in my editing. I will not stress over it though....or at least I'll TRY not to. In the meantime I've been trying to do a bit of editing with my husband's computer but gees...it's a different world over there on that one! Our monitors are so different that it's been difficult to say the least. Not to mention that I don't have all of my usual editing "tools". But I'm trying! I truly am. Thanks for the patience of everyone who is waiting for proofs. I can't tell you how I appreciate it during this frustrating time.;-)
Ok...on to happier things. I always love when Allison and I get together b/c we just seem to "connect" artistically. She's such an incredible model b/c she just always knows what to do for "the shot". She works it and she makes the magic happen...and we both leave excited and inspired. Feast your eyes on these...;-)

This one is one of her favorites...

Check out the rainbows...plural. The one on the left we could see where it started AND finished. Then we noticed the much fainter one on the right. It was so incredible...and so gorgeous. This image just doesn't do these rainbows justice...but I still love it anyways.;-)
I may not post again before my trip to Chicago but you can be assured I'll post about my trip as soon as I return!!!:-)
