Oh my!

Has it been this long? Alright...no excuses from me. And no more calling me out Alisha!!! I've been busy, and that's good, right? Well, I guess it depends on what you've been busy doing. If say, I were busy sorting out my sock drawer, that would be productive but not very exciting. Or if I were say, watching the entire first season of The Office in back to back episodes so that I could outquote the "Quote Queen" Mrs. Kimberly W.....well, that WOULD be time well spent!;-) But truth is, I've been busy proofing a few sessions, trying to get my website in order (no comments from Brianne please) and organizing this house for my visitors this next week. I have to make them *think* that I live in the "cleanliness is next to Godliness" mentality.....which of course I do.....even during the times that my non-existant maid has the week off, my two year old has a mosh pit of toys in the living room (that he will glady either body surf on top of or bulldoze with his scooter) and my husband gets finished preparing an 18 course meal in the kitchen. Anyways, my aunt, grandmother, cousin and her children are coming up this way to pick me up for a road trip! They're driving up from Florida, picking me up here and we're going to PA, baby. Should be fun! Can't wait!

Babe

Well, it has been a heck of a few weeks to say the least so I did slack on my posting AGAIN. But I have been so busy....that's a good thing, right?;-)

My goodness, everyone is having babies right now! I love it! Even though they don't look like hard work, newborn sessions TRULY are. BUT, they are soooo very rewarding too. It's so exciting to know that YOU are capturing images of this little one that will be around when they are older and have children of their own. I am attaching a few images of a recent newborn shoot. This little one had so much hair....she was sooooo adorable! I seriously have never seen so much hair on a baby. I had to admit I was a bit jealous.....and of course my husband was too!!! Shhhhhhh!:-) Put together a cute little baby girl with mom's awesome decorating and you have some really beautiful works of art! I LOVED the colors in this home.....so bright, bold and FUN! What a beautiful "backdrop" for a newborn shoot...

Neglected....not deserted.

I'm back....I swear!!!;-)

I was recently talking with a fellow photographer friend and she had mentioned to me that she thought I had "deserted" my blog. Well, while I have DEFINITELY neglected it, I have not deserted it altogether!!!;-) Things have just been so crazy, and I've been so busy that my blog has been put on the back burner. I must now do all I can to nurse my sweet little blog into the NEW blog that feels loved and appreciated by everyone....especially me! So, I apologize to you and my poor blog for my obvious neglect. I have made many a promise to be much better about keeping up with this baby, so I won't go there....BUT I will be so bold as to say that I will post today and then in a few more days you will see another post! Holy cow....back to back posts from someone who's been gone for so long. Yep...I'm gonna do it. And I'm pretty sure I can sense the excitement from you guys that may actually still visit every now and then!!!;-) HA!

I figured I'd start out this blog relay by posting a self portrait I did recently....just to show you that I am in fact alive and well! I had to tackle this absolute chore as I have a website in the works and I had no decent pictures of myself to put on my bio page. So....a day after going to the salon and cutting 7 inches off of my no longer glamorous but matronly locks, I decided it was time. A new look.....a new picture. And let's be honest here, after the first washing, your hair will never again look as good as when your favorite hair stylist fixed you up! Yep....it's an unfortunate truth. Well, at least for me! Sooooooo.....that being said, I will now unveil my shameless self portraits. Could use some help deciding between the two images and whether b/w or color if you would like to voice your opinion. They are both really "me" so I can't decide which route to take here!
